Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all of the moms!! I hope you’re treating yourself in all the ways that feel good. My cup has been filled with loads of girlfriend time this month which I’m so thankful for. From a weekend with my college crew last weekend to a retreat in Napa this week with with an inspiring group of Bay Area women — all doing really interesting, creative things! — I always enjoy learning from and soaking up my time with them. My mom friends and the women in my inner circle mean the world to me, and I couldn’t go through this motherhood chapter without them!! And without my own mom who is my ultimate rock (I call her sometimes multiples times a day)… with the most calming energy. I’m often told I am very calm and have old soul energy ~ you should meet my mom (and my sister! who is the most genuine, present, caring, in the moment mother and person!!).
After spending last weekend with 7 of my closest college girlfriends (we all lived on the same floor our freshman year and quickly became inseparable those four years of undergrad)… I came back from the weekend just appreciating how special that college bond is… the memories and inside jokes that only you share… and those friends that no matter how much time goes by without seeing each other you always pick up right where you left off. Even though we are spread across the US now and it takes a lot to get us all back together, it’s so nice to have that constant text chain together to chat / vent / share the mom things.
And my mom friends I’ve met in my more recent years of living in Sacramento. I didn’t realize that I’d one day meet some of my closest girlfriends through my kids! From our daily walks and the motivation to make it to workout classes… to the carpooling help and happy hours filled with all of the girl talk.
Motherhood has brought another layer and bond to these special friendships that I’m beyond grateful for!!

Faves and Saves From My Week |
Listen | Speaking of friendships, I listened to this podcast on Finding Purpose on my drive and highly recommend. It resonated so much with me (just the biggest fan of both Mel Robbins and Jay Shetty)… and it will make you want to send little ‘thinking of you notes’ and texts to those friends in your life.
Song | My girlfriend put together a throwback playlist for our weekend in Pebble ~ and this song felt especially nostalgic! Anyone else?!
And since I have poolside resort dressing and wine country on my mind, I thought I’d share a few recent faves and saves… and what I wish I had packed this weekend…
Wine country chic ~ this would be the ideal dress (under $150), or another classic LWD for wine country to wear for a day of wine tasting with a simple sandal (this one would dress it up!).
Speaking of whites, I have to say this is the dreamiest Isabel dress I’ve seen in a while! It gives me Chloe vibes, and I’ve had this set on my mind and in my hearts too.
I carried this bag with me throughout the day and to the pool. Everyone I was with kept asking me about it ~ and I know you’re probably tired of me sharing my love for Dragon Diffusion but I’m always stopped and asked about it. It has held up so beautifully over the years for the amount of use it gets! Poolside to park benches and in the grass at soccer practices and it still looks brand knew. NAP just restocked the green (which is so much better in person than pictured online) so I’d jump on it if you’ve been wanting it!! It’s so beautiful ~ you’ll be happy you did!
Poolside ~ Bag and sandals (also avail here)
One woman was in line for coffee in front of me in an all-black look while in Napa (in a simple tee, blazer, black shorts)… and gosh, all-black just always looks so cool. I kind of wanted to sneak a picture of her. But as someone who loves and wears a lot of black… you just really can’t go wrong. The above is a bit of some random inspiration ~ but I like the blue color pop on Ashley and the more summery skirt mixed with blacks (if say you’re in a city). And aviator’s to go with Ashley’s look… so good!
If you’re looking for classic summer sunglasses ~ Oliver Peoples always gets my vote.
Breezy cotton poplin dress for these 90* days
Eyelet shorts for a walk to the pool (make it a set with this pretty top).

I haven't made it past The Song. I've watched thrice. Thank you for the flashback.
I think I remember you saying you used a Dragon Diffusion bag as a diaper bag?! I’m so into a non conventional “diaper bag/mom bag” now that I’m expecting. You are constant inspiration! I love it!!
